You will design and implement C firmware for control systems and device drivers for the Slocum Glider. You will work closely with electrical and mechanical engineering team members integrating new sensors and actuators into the system. You will plan testing, analyze test results, and in some cases perform testing of the firmware and the glider system. You will produce internal documentation and provide customer support as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least 3 years software development experience in C, including detailed analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Experience in C++ or Java is a plus.
• Experience developing software in a resource constrained embedded environment.
  Experience with sensor interfaces and data acquisition systems. Understanding of flight dynamics is a plus.
• Hands on experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes. Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a team environment.
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics, or equivalent experience.
